National Youth Day

National Youth Day (NYD) in India is celebrated every year on January 12th, to mark the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, one of the most influential spiritual leaders and thinkers of India. He was a key figure in the introduction of Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world and was a major force in the revival of Hinduism in India.

Swami Vivekananda's teachings focus on the unity of all religions, the potential of every human being, and the power of education, self-reliance, and service to humanity. His message of spiritual and social harmony resonates with the youth of India, and his birthday is celebrated as National Youth Day to inspire and motivate them to work towards the betterment of the society.

On this day, various programs and events are organized across the country to celebrate the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. These include youth conventions, seminars, cultural programs, and competitions. The government, educational institutions, and various organizations also celebrate the day by organizing activities to spread the message of Swami Vivekananda.

National Youth Day is also an opportunity for young people to reflect on their own lives and to commit themselves to working for the betterment of society. It is a day for them to think about how they can make a positive difference in the world, and to be inspired by the example of Swami Vivekananda's life and teachings.
